What is Adenosine (Diagnostic) ?
Adenosine (Diagnostic) is a pharmacologic agent primarily used in stress testing to evaluate coronary artery disease. It acts by dilating the coronary arteries, thereby increasing blood flow to the heart, which helps identify areas with insufficient blood supply. This diagnostic tool is particularly valuable in patients who are unable to undergo exercise stress tests.
