What is Aplisol ?
Aplisol is a purified protein derivative used for the intradermal screening of tuberculosis (TB) in the form of a skin test, commonly known as the Mantoux test. It aids in the detection of a cell-mediated immune response in individuals who are infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacteria causing TB. Aplisol, administered by a healthcare professional, is crucial for diagnosing TB in populations where the disease is suspected.
