What is Bimzelx ?
Bimzelx (bimekizumab) is a monoclonal antibody medication approved for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. Bimzelx targets and neutralizes IL-17A and IL-17F, inflammatory cytokines involved in the pathogenesis of plaque psoriasis, offering an innovative approach to managing symptoms and improving skin clearance.
- Blemishes on the skin, pimples
- Headache
- Pain, itching, burning, swelling, or a lump under your skin where the shot was given
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Fever, chills, cough, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, body aches
- Pain, itching, sores, or blisters on the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals
- Severe stomach pain, diarrhea
- Sores or white patches on your lips, mouth, or throat
- Unusual moods or behaviors, depression, thoughts of hurting yourself or others
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, of if you have liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (including Crohn disease or ulcerative colitis), or a history of depression, suicidal thoughts or behavior, or tuberculosis, Tell your doctor if you have any type of infection or an infection that keeps coming back.

- You will need to have a skin test for tuberculosis (TB) before you start using this medicine. Tell your doctor if you or anyone in your home has ever had a positive TB skin test or has been exposed to TB.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
