What is Plenvu?
Plenvu (polyethylene glycol 3350, sodium ascorbate, sodium sulfate, ascorbic acid, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride) is an osmotic laxative used for cleansing the bowel in adults preparing for a colonoscopy. It works by causing water to be retained with the stool, increasing the number of bowel movements and softening the stool, which helps cleanse the colon. Plenvu is typically administered as a split dose regimen, with doses taken the afternoon or evening before and the morning of the colonoscopy.Side Effects
