What is Shingrix?
Shingrix is a non-live, recombinant subunit vaccine specifically engineered to prevent herpes zoster, also known as shingles, in individuals aged 50 and older. The vaccine uses a combination of a glycoprotein E antigen and an AS01B adjuvant system to boost the immune response, enhancing protection against the varicella-zoster virus that causes the disease. Shingrix is administered in a two-dose schedule, with the second dose typically given two to six months after the first.Side Effects

- Sudden numbness or weakness in your arms or legs
Warnings

- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
- This vaccine may increase your risk for nervous system problems, including Guillain-Barré syndrome.
