Trumenba is a vaccine used to prevent invasive disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B in individuals aged 10 through 25 years. It functions by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against serogroup B, offering protective immunity. - Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Fainting
- Fever, chills
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have an immune system problem or a history of nerve problems, including Guillain-Barré syndrome.
- This vaccine may not protect everyone who receives it. It will not treat symptoms of meningococcal infection if you already have the disease.
