What is Bidil ?

Bidil is a medication specifically indicated for the management of heart failure in self-identified black patients, as an adjunct to standard therapy. It is a combination of two vasodilators, isosorbide dinitrate and hydralazine hydrochloride, which work together to help relax blood vessels and improve blood flow as well as cardiac output. This tailored approach aims to address the unique pathophysiological mechanisms of heart failure observed in the African American population.
