What is Isosorb Dinitrate-Hydralazine ?
Isosorbide dinitrate-hydralazine is a combination medication used primarily in the management of heart failure, particularly in self-identified African American patients, to improve survival and reduce the rate of hospitalization. Isosorbide dinitrate works by dilating blood vessels and reducing the workload on the heart, while hydralazine acts as a vasodilator, relaxing blood vessels to decrease blood pressure and improve blood flow. This synergistic effect enhances cardiac output and alleviates symptoms of heart failure.
