What is Dronabinol ?

Dronabinol is a synthetic cannabinoid, formulated as the active isomer of THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the principal psychoactive component of cannabis. It is typically prescribed for managing nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy, as well as for treating appetite loss and weight loss in patients with AIDS. Dronabinol works by acting on the brain's cannabinoid receptors, mimicking the natural compounds in the body that affect sensations, such as pain and appetite.
