What is Toremifene Citrate ?
Toremifene citrate is a nonsteroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used primarily in the treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It works by binding to estrogen receptors and inhibiting the effects of estrogen in breast tissue, which can help reduce the growth of estrogen-dependent tumors. Toremifene citrate also exhibits partial estrogenic effects in other tissues, such as the endometrium and bones.
