¿Qué es Fareston?
El citrato de toremifeno es un modulador selectivo de receptores de estrógenos (SERM, por sus siglas en inglés) utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento del cáncer de mama metastásico en mujeres posmenopáusicas. Funciona al unirse a los receptores de estrógenos, inhibiendo los efectos del estrógeno en el tejido mamario, lo que puede ralentizar o detener el crecimiento de tumores dependientes de estrógenos. Además, el toremifeno también puede ofrecer beneficios en la reducción del riesgo de osteoporosis y enfermedades cardiovasculares en ciertos pacientes.Side Effects

- Patients with a history of blood clotting disorders should use caution.
- Prolonged QT interval observed; avoid in patients with congenital long QT syndrome.
- Do not use during pregnancy as it may cause fetal harm.

- May interact with certain medications including anticoagulants and QT-prolonging drugs.
