What is Fosinopril Sodium-Hctz ?
Fosinopril Sodium-Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is a combination antihyperensive medication that includes an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor and a thiazide diuretic. This dual-action formula helps lower blood pressure by both decreasing the tightening of blood vessels and reducing excess fluid in the body. Fosinopril Sodium-HCTZ is commonly prescribed to treat hypertension, thereby helping to prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
