What is Fosinopril Sodium ?
Fosinopril sodium is an ACE inhibitor used in the treatment of hypertension and heart failure. It works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the workload on the heart, thereby lowering blood pressure and improving heart function. Fosinopril is unique among ACE inhibitors in that it is a prodrug metabolized by the liver into its active form, fosinoprilat, providing effective and sustained blood pressure control.
