What is Asenapine Maleate ?
Asenapine maleate is an atypical antipsychotic medication primarily used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It functions by modulating the activity of various neurotransmitters in the brain, including dopamine and serotonin, which are involved in mood and behavior regulation. Administered sublingually as it has poor oral bioavailability, Asenapine is typically reserved for patients who do not respond to other antipsychotic treatments.
