What is Atomoxetine Hcl ?
Atomoxetine HCl, marketed under the brand name Strattera, is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI) primarily used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults. Unlike stimulant medications, it is not classified as a controlled substance, offering a non-addictive treatment alternative. Atomoxetine works by increasing norepinephrine levels in the brain, which helps to decrease impulsivity and hyperactivity while enhancing attention span.
