What is Vyzulta?
Vyzulta (latanoprostene bunod ophthalmic solution, 0.024%) is a prescription eye drop manufactured by Bausch & Lomb for the treatment of open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It works by reducing intraocular pressure in the eye through a dual mechanism that increases the outflow of aqueous humor. This medication is typically used when other treatments have not been adequate.
Side Effects
- Blurred vision or other changes in vision
- Severe eye irritation or inflammation
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have eye or vision problems, or a history of eye inflammation (including iritis or uveitis).
- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
