¿Qué es Xelpros?
Xelpros (emulsión oftálmica de latanoprost) es un colirio con receta utilizado para reducir la presión intraocular (PIO) en individuos con glaucoma de ángulo abierto o hipertensión ocular. Es un análogo de prostaglandina que funciona aumentando el flujo de salida del líquido acuoso de los ojos para reducir efectivamente la presión ocular, ayudando así a prevenir daños en el nervio óptico y pérdida de visión.Side Effects
- Chest pain
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blurred vision or other changes in vision
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you get an eye infection, have an eye injury, or have eye surgery while being treated with this medicine. You may need to get a new bottle of the eye drops to help prevent an eye infection or to keep an eye infection from getting worse.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have other eye or vision problems, eye infection (including herpes simplex eye infection), or a history of eye inflammation (including iritis or uveitis).
- Ophthalmic routeIf you hurt your eye, develop an eye infection, or need to have eye surgery, talk with your doctor right away. You may need to change your medicine or stop using it.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
