What is Cladribine ?
Cladribine is a synthetic antineoplastic agent used primarily for the treatment of hairy cell leukemia and other hematologic malignancies. It functions as an adenosine deaminase inhibitor, leading to the accumulation of toxic deoxyadenosine triphosphate metabolites in neoplastic cells, which results in cell death. Cladribine is administered through intravenous or subcutaneous routes, and its use requires careful monitoring of hematological and renal functions.
