What is Curosurf ?
Curosurf is a natural surfactant medication primarily used to treat and prevent respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) in premature infants. It is derived from porcine lungs and works by reducing the surface tension in the lungs, improving breathing and oxygen exchange. Curosurf is administered directly into the trachea through an endotracheal tube.
