What is Prevymis ?
Prevymis (letermovir) is an antiviral medication specifically designed to prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and disease in adult patients who are seropositive and have received an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). It works by inhibiting the CMV-terminase complex, essential for viral replication. Prevymis is typically administered as an oral tablet or intravenous infusion.
