What is Clinolipid?
Clinolipid is an intravenous lipid emulsion used as a source of calories and essential fatty acids for adult patients who require parenteral nutrition when oral or enteral nutrition is not possible, insufficient, or contraindicated. It contains a mixture of olive oil and soybean oil, which provides a balanced blend of omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, formulated to minimize the potential negative effects of other lipid emulsions. - Change in how much or how often you urinate, difficult or painful urination
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, liver disease, blood clotting problems, heart failure, diabetes, or obesity.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Lung problem, including acute respiratory distress syndromeMetabolic acidosisIncreased risk of infectionsFat overload syndromeRefeeding syndrome (in severely undernourished patients)Aluminum toxicity
