Warnings
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have heart or blood vessel disease, heart rhythm problems, high blood pressure, heart failure, thyroid problems, Tourette syndrome, or a history of heart attack, stroke, or seizures. Tell your doctor if you or anyone in your family has a history of depression, bipolar disorder, mental health problems, or drug or alcohol abuse.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment with Dexedrine® Spansule®.
- This medicine may cause the following problems: Sudden death in people who have serious heart problems (including a heart defect)Serious heart or blood vessel problems, including heart attack and stroke (especially in people who already have heart problems)High blood pressureUnusual changes in behavior or moodsSlow growth in childrenSeizuresPeripheral vasculopathy (a blood circulation problem), including Raynaud phenomenonSerotonin syndrome (when used with certain medicines)Onset or worsening of motor or verbal tics (including Tourette syndrome)
- This medicine may make you dizzy or cause blurred vision. Do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how this medicine affects you.
- This medicine can be habit-forming. Do not use more than your prescribed dose. Call your doctor if you think your medicine is not working.
