What is Flumazenil?
Flumazenil is a benzodiazepine antagonist primarily used to reverse the effects of benzodiazepines in cases of overdose or when it is necessary to awaken a patient after surgery. It works by competitively inhibiting the effects at the GABA-benzodiazepine receptor complex. Administered intravenously, Flumazenil has a rapid onset of action, usually within one to two minutes.Side Effects
