What is Hypertet ?
Hypertet is a sterile solution containing tetanus immune globulin, used for passive immunization as a post-exposure prophylaxis against tetanus infection. It is indicated for individuals who sustain injuries prone to tetanus, particularly if they are unvaccinated or have an incomplete vaccination history. Hypertet is administered intramuscularly and works by providing immediate, short-term protection by neutralizing the toxins produced by Clostridium tetani.
