What is Verquvo?
Verquvo (vericiguat) is a prescription medication used to treat chronic heart failure in adults with reduced ejection fraction who are experiencing worsening symptoms despite optimal treatment with other heart failure therapies. It works by stimulating soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), an enzyme in the cardiovascular system that helps relax blood vessels and improve heart function. Verquvo is typically administered once daily in conjunction with other heart failure treatments.Side Effects

- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness
Warnings
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. If you are a woman who can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before starting treatment. Use an effective birth control while you are using this medicine and for at least 1 month after your last dose.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or liver disease.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment with this medicine.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
