¿Qué es Bendamustine Hcl?
El clorhidrato de bendamustina es un agente quimioterapéutico alquilante utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento de la leucemia linfocítica crónica (LLC) y el linfoma no Hodgkin de células B indolente (LNH) que ha progresado durante o después de la terapia con rituximab. Funciona dañando el ADN en las células cancerosas, lo que impide su crecimiento y proliferación. Este medicamento se administra por vía intravenosa y requiere un monitoreo cuidadoso debido a los posibles efectos secundarios, como mielosupresión, infecciones y reacciones a la infusión.Side Effects
- Fever, chills, cough, sore throat, body aches
- Pain, redness, swelling, or a lump under your skin where the needle is placed
- Confusion, problems with memory, vision, speech, or walking
Warnings
- This medicine may make you bleed, bruise, or get infections more easily. Take precautions to prevent illness and injury. Wash your hands often.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Injection routeIt is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before starting this medicine. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for at least 6 months after the last dose. Male patients with female partners should use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for at least 3 months after the last dose.
- Do not breastfeed during treatment and for at least 1 week after the last dose.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, or any kind of infection.
