¿Qué es Triumeq Pd?
Triumeq PD, una formulación farmacológicamente avanzada, es un medicamento antirretroviral oral utilizado en el tratamiento de la infección por VIH-1 en pacientes adultos y pediátricos que pesan al menos 10 kilogramos. Combina dolutegravir, abacavir y lamivudina en una sola tableta, atacando diferentes aspectos del proceso de replicación del virus para reducir efectivamente la carga viral y mejorar la función inmune, aunque se requiere monitoreo debido a las reacciones de hipersensibilidad y otros posibles efectos secundarios debido al componente de abacavir.Side Effects
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
- Fast breathing, lightheadedness, severe weakness, tiredness, confusion
Warnings
- Using this medicine while you are pregnant can harm your unborn baby. If you are a woman who can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before starting treatment. Do not use this medicine during the first 12 weeks of your pregnancy. Use an effective form of birth control to keep from getting pregnant. Tell your doctor right away if you think you have become pregnant.
- Do not breastfeed. You can spread HIV or AIDS to your baby through your breast milk.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease (including hepatitis B or C), diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. Tell your doctor if you smoke.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:Lactic acidosis (too much acid in the blood)Liver problemsIncreased risk of heart attack
- Your immune system may get stronger when you start taking HIV medicines. This could cause a hidden infection in your body to become active. Tell your doctor right away if you notice any changes in your health.
