What is Acthib ?

ActHIB is a vaccine used to prevent Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) infections, which can lead to serious conditions such as meningitis and pneumonia. It is administered via injection and is commonly given to infants starting at two months of age as part of their routine immunization schedule. The vaccine works by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies against the Hib bacterium, offering long-term protection.
