What is Insulin Lispro ?

Insulin lispro, a rapid-acting insulin analog, is designed to manage blood glucose levels in individuals with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It closely mimics the body's natural insulin response to meals, starting to work within approximately 15 minutes after injection, peaking around an hour later, and continuing to be effective for two to four hours, helping to reduce postprandial blood sugar levels efficiently.
