What is Albuminex ?
Albuminex is a 5% or 25% human albumin solution used for restoring and maintaining circulating blood volume where hypovolemia (volume depletion) is present and use of a colloid is appropriate. It works by increasing plasma volume or serum albumin levels in patients with hypoalbuminemia. This pharmaceutical is administered intravenously and is essential in managing conditions such as shock, burns, or surgical blood loss where volume and protein supplementation are necessary.
