Lotronex is prescribed to women with severe irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) with diarrhoea. Lotronex control bowel movements in women whose IBS symptoms have lasted 6 months or longer and have not been helped enough by other treatments.
- Red or black stools
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Constipation
- New or worsening stomach pain or cramps
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease or other stomach or bowel problems.
