What is Amiloride-Hydrochlorothiazide ?
Amiloride-Hydrochlorothiazide is a combination diuretic medication used primarily for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and to prevent potassium loss in patients receiving thiazide therapy. Amiloride works by helping the body retain potassium while hydrochlorothiazide promotes the excretion of sodium and water. This synergistic effect helps to effectively control blood pressure and reduce swelling by eliminating excess fluid from the body.
