What is Antipyrine ?

Antipyrine, also known as phenazone, is an analgesic and antipyretic agent used primarily to reduce fever and alleviate mild to moderate pain. It operates by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain, which play a key role in pain and temperature regulation. Notably, antipyrine has been largely replaced by safer and more effective drugs in most therapeutic contexts.
