Iopidine is a prescription medicine used along with other medications to treat glaucoma. It comes in the form of ophthalmic drops. It works by reducing the amount of fluid within the eye resulting in a decrease of the amount of pressure inside the eye. It is used on a short term basis to help delay or prevent the need for eye surgery.
- Stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, sweating of your palms
- Feeling like there is something in your eye
- Redness, swelling, or whitening of your eyelids
- Trouble sleeping, unusual dreams
- Redness, swelling, or whitening of your eyelids
- Slow, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Blurred vision
- Dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting
- Eye redness, burning, itching, or discomfort
- Fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeat
