What is Atelvia?
Risedronate Sodium is a bisphosphonate medication primarily prescribed for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women by altering the cycle of bone formation and breakdown in the body, slowing bone loss while increasing bone mass, which may prevent bone fractures. It is also indicated for treating Paget's disease of bone, reducing abnormal bone turnover and potentially alleviating associated symptoms. The medication works by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thereby maintaining or increasing bone density.Side Effects
