Phosphate Binder

Auryxia is a prescription drug used to treat patients diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. It works to reduce the high levels of phosphate in the blood of patients on dialysis. Auryxia is broken down in the stomach to release iron in the intestines. It attaches itself to the phosphate in the food consumed and is passed out the body in your stool.
