What is Balcoltra ?

Balcoltra (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets and ferrous bisglycinate tablets) is an oral contraceptive pill combining synthetic estrogen and progestin with an iron supplement. It is primarily prescribed to prevent pregnancy and regulate menstrual cycles, also offering a regimen to increase blood iron levels during menstruation. Balcoltra's daily intake helps maintain steady hormone levels, thereby aiding in effective contraception and reduced menstrual irregularities.
