What is Busulfex ?
Busulfex (busulfan) is an antineoplastic medication that functions as an alkylating agent, primarily used in the preparation of patients for hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation. It works by inhibiting DNA replication and RNA transcription, effectively preventing the multiplication of rapidly dividing cancer cells. Busulfex is commonly administered intravenously and is critical in treating chronic myelogenous leukemia and other hematological disorders.
