What is Calcium Carbonate Antacid ?
Calcium carbonate is a widely used medication that acts as an antacid by neutralizing stomach acid, providing relief from acid indigestion and heartburn. It is also beneficial for managing symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and can serve as a calcium supplement. Besides its efficacy in reducing discomfort, it helps in raising gastric pH and is generally safe for frequent use under medical supervision.
