What is Chloramphenicol ?
Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria and some fungi. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the bacterial ribosome, making it a potent treatment for various infections, including those caused by anaerobes, rickettsiae, and certain viruses.
