What is Liothyronine Sodium ?
Liothyronine Sodium is a synthetic form of the thyroid hormone triiodothyronine (T3), used primarily to treat hypothyroidism and myxedema coma. It acts by replenishing deficient T3 levels, consequently enhancing metabolic rate and energy production in the body. Liothyronine is also employed in various diagnostic tests for thyroid function.
