What is Fenofibrate ?
Fenofibrate is a lipid-modifying agent primarily used to reduce cholesterol levels and triglycerides in patients with hyperlipidemia. It works by increasing the natural enzyme lipoprotein lipase, which boosts the breakdown and elimination of fats from the blood. Fenofibrate therapy is often prescribed in conjunction with diet and exercise modifications to optimize lipid profiles and decrease the risk of cardiovascular disease.
