What is Glipizide-Metformin Hcl ?
Glipizide-Metformin HCl is a combination oral medication used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glipizide is a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin release from the pancreatic beta cells, while metformin, a biguanide, works to decrease glucose production in the liver and improve insulin sensitivity. This dual-action treatment helps to control blood glucose levels without requiring insulin administration.
