What is Hydrogen Peroxide?
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a clear, colorless liquid that acts as a mild antiseptic used on the skin to prevent infection of minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It may also be used as a mouth rinse to help remove mucus or to relieve minor mouth irritation. - Do not use on deep wounds, puncture wounds, animal bites, or serious burns, unless your doctor says it is okay.
- If you are using this medicine without a prescription, do not use it for more than 1 week unless your doctor tells you to.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
- Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.
