What is Levorphanol Tartrate ?
Levorphanol Tartrate is a potent opioid analgesic medication used primarily for the management of moderate to severe pain. It functions as an agonist at multiple opioid receptors, providing effective pain relief as well as mood alterations. Levorphanol is chemically similar to morphine but has a longer half-life, allowing for less frequent dosing.
- Warmth or redness in your face, neck, arms, or upper chest.
- Headache.

- Nausea or mild vomiting, loss of appetite.
- Depression (feeling sad).
- Confusion, dizziness, drowsiness, or tired feeling.
- Mild skin rash or itching.
- Bad dreams or abnormal thoughts.
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Decrease in how much or how often you urinate.
- Lightheadedness or fainting.

- Make sure your doctor knows if you have had a serious head injury, or any medical condition that causes increased pressure in your head.
- This medicine can be habit-forming. Do not use more than your prescribed dose. Call your doctor if you think your medicine is not working.
- Do not stop using this medicine suddenly. Your doctor will need to slowly decrease your dose before you stop it completely.
- This medicine may make you drowsy. Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.
- This medicine may cause constipation, especially with long-term use. Ask your doctor if you should use a laxative to prevent and treat constipation.
