What is Lidocaine-Phenylephrine ?
Lidocaine-Phenylephrine is a combination medication commonly used as a local anesthetic and vasoconstrictor, respectively. Lidocaine works by blocking nerve signals in the body to provide pain relief, while Phenylephrine narrows blood vessels, reducing bleeding and enhancing the duration and quality of the anesthesia. This synergistic combination is often utilized in medical procedures requiring prolonged local anesthesia and minimized bleeding, such as during dental and nasal surgeries.
