Lopressor is a beta blocker that is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It works by keeping certain natural chemicals, such as epinephrine, from acting on the heart and blood vessels.
- Depression

- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting
- Worsening chest pain, trouble breathing
