What is Pemfexy ?
Pemfexy (pemetrexed for injection) is a branded alternative to Alimta, indicated for the treatment of certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). It is used in combination with cisplatin for patients whose disease is either unresectable or who are not candidates for curative surgery. Pemfexy works by inhibiting critical folate-dependent enzymes, thereby disrupting tumor cell proliferation.

- Regular blood tests required to monitor blood cell counts and kidney function
- Potential risk of radiation recall dermatitis in patients who have received radiation therapy previously
