What is Trogarzo ?
Trogarzo (ibalizumab-uiyk) is a monoclonal antibody used in the treatment of HIV-1 infection. It is specifically indicated for adult patients who have multidrug-resistant HIV-1 and who have failing antiretroviral regimens due to resistance, intolerance, or safety considerations. Trogarzo is unique in that it is administered intravenously and works by blocking the HIV virus from infecting CD4+ T cells, thereby limiting viral replication.

- This medicine may cause infusion-related reactions, which can be life-threatening.
- Always practice safe sex, even if your partner also has HIV. If you stop taking this medicine or do not take it as prescribed, you may spread HIV to others. Do not reuse or share needles, or other items, that may have blood or body fluids on them.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Do not breastfeed. You can spread HIV or AIDS to your baby through your breast milk.
