What is Vabomere ?
Vabomere is a combination antibacterial agent that includes meropenem, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic, and vaborbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is specifically designed to treat complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI), including pyelonephritis, caused by designated susceptible bacteria. Vabomere works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis in bacteria, while vaborbactam blocks the enzymes that often make bacteria resistant to meropenem.
