What is Vecuronium Bromide ?
Vecuronium bromide is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocker used to facilitate tracheal intubation and provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation. It operates by competing with acetylcholine for receptor sites at the neuromuscular junction, effectively inhibiting neuromuscular transmission. This medication is administered intravenously and its effects are rapidly reversed by acetylcholinesterase inhibitors.
